SCHIESSL is your specialist for subcritical R744 systems with extremely high robustness. CO₂ systems are environmentally friendly, energyefficient and future-proof.
From food refrigeration to air conditioning, CO₂ is used in a wide range of installations. The adaptability of this refrigerant makes it the ideal choice for various industries. In the commercial refrigeration industry, CO₂ has established itself as the standard refrigerant and is increasingly replacing synthetic refrigerants in both larger and smaller capacity ranges.
CO₂ is characterized by a very high volumetric cooling capacity, which is about 5 to 8 times higher than that of NH₃, which allows the use of smaller compressors for large cooling capacities. The challenge with CO₂, however, lies in its high pressure requirement and a critical temperature of just 31 °C (74 bar).
We have focused our in-house production on water/brine-cooled systems that are always operated in the subcritical range. F o r transcritical solutions, we work together with renowned external suppliers. Our experts have many years of experience and guarantee the highest quality.
